Sofigate aiming at number one position in Sweden by an acquisition

Sofigate, a Finnish originated IT management as a service company, is aiming to become the largest company in its field in Sweden by acquiring the IT service management consultancy company Daymark AB. The customers of Daymark include ie. NCC and Skandia.

 

Sofigate aims to become an international company of 750 employees and create a turnover of 100 million euros by 2020. Sofigate sees that Daymark is in a sweet spot of IT Service Management and automation market, which is expected to grow significantly in the Nordics.

”We see a huge potential in industrialized service models taking a major role in IT management with harmonized processes, automation and operational teams. We are able to make expert work many times more productive than before by utilizing productized service management concepts, service management tools and robotics,” said Sami Karkkila, CEO at Sofigate.

Karkkila believes the Nordic IT market will be carved up in a totally new way in the near future.

”The size of IT management market in the Nordics is about five billion euros compared to the 20 billion euro IT service markets. We believe that the market will undergo radical change as expert work flows becomes better organized and more automated both in IT and business support services. Sofigate will play a role in making these changes happen and is planning to build major competence centers in the key areas in Nordics.”

 

Sofigate accelerates recruting in both countries

 

Acquisitions are very important for the future growth of Sofigate. Daymark and its 25 seasoned experts strengthten Sofigate’s position as the biggest IT service management service provider in the Nordics and a key partner to the leading service management automation and digitalization technologies like ServiceNow. Sofigate is recruiting with a full speed both in Finland and in Sweden. In one year, Sweden’s competence center should have around 100 employees. Sofigate is currently employing around 250 management experts.
