Building purpose through partnership

How Sofigate and Coffee & Force turned shared values into lasting impact

Some collaborations begin with a clear plan. Others take shape more naturally, guided by shared values and a common sense of purpose. The partnership between Sofigate and Coffee & Force belongs to the latter. What started as a meeting of like-minded people grew into a collaboration that shows how technology, when guided by the right intentions, can create meaningful change.

The story began in 2023 at a charity hackathon in Wrocław. Volunteers, mentors, and Salesforce professionals gathered to contribute their skills to social causes. The atmosphere was energising and focused. For us, it was a moment that revealed the strength of the Salesforce community and the impact that can be achieved when people come together around a shared goal.

From that first encounter, the relationship developed organically. Conversations continued at Polish Dreamin’, local community meetups, and through ongoing collaboration within the ecosystem. Over time, it became clear that this was more than a one-off initiative. In July 2025, we formalised our involvement by becoming the first official partner of the CharITy&Force initiative.

As Łukasz Tomankiewicz, Managing Director at Sofigate Poland explains, the decision was rooted in values rather than strategy.

“When we heard about the initiative during Dreamin’25, we were certain we wanted to support it. Joining was not a strategic decision. It was a values decision. The Charity&Force project reflects Sofigate’s values: Dare, Care, and Grow.”

A shared purpose, clearly defined

From the outset, both organisations were aligned around a common objective: using Salesforce technology to support the Ronald McDonald Foundation. The Foundation provides a home away from home for families with hospitalised children, offering stability during an extremely difficult time. In this context, efficient and reliable systems are essential, but they should never overshadow human care.

For us, the project became a practical expression of its values. Dare meant committing to a voluntary initiative. Care meant investing time and expertise into work that directly supports families. Grow meant learning together, strengthening teams, and developing as professionals and as people.

“This project shows our values in action,” says Łukasz. “We dared to step in, we cared by contributing our knowledge, and we grew through collaboration and shared learning.”

Just as importantly, the partnership proved to be a strong operational fit. By working alongside Coffee&Force we were able to focus on delivering high-quality technical solutions while contributing to a broader community effort. This is a clear example of how purpose and professionalism can reinforce each other.

Marcin Krzych, CTO at Sofigate Poland reflects, “We were not just building technology. We were helping families find stability at a moment of crisis.”

Turning technology into tangible support

When the work began, it became clear how much the Foundation relied on manual processes. Room management, consent tracking, check-ins, and family information were handled with significant administrative effort. While necessary, this work took valuable time away from supporting families directly.

Our role was to help simplify and digitise these processes, creating a secure and user-friendly solution that could be trusted in a sensitive environment.

One key area was consent management. A new model was introduced to ensure that all consents are stored transparently, timestamped, and easy to report on. This not only supports GDPR compliance but also reduces the risk of errors and the time spent on manual reporting.

Another major improvement was the introduction of a custom room dashboard. Built as a Lightning Web Component, it provides staff with a real-time overview of room occupancy and family information. The interface was designed to be intuitive, allowing quick updates and clear visibility without unnecessary complexity.

Together, these changes significantly reduced administrative burden. Technology became an enabler rather than an obstacle, freeing up time and attention for what matters most: supporting families during one of the hardest periods of their lives.

A collaboration that strengthened people and culture

Beyond the technical delivery, the collaboration had a noticeable impact on the people involved. Working on a real, purpose-driven project created a different dynamic from typical delivery work. Learning happened naturally, knowledge was shared openly, and motivation remained high throughout the project.

Within Sofigate, the initiative strengthened our internal culture. Employees felt proud to contribute their expertise to something with a clear human impact. Many described it as seeing the company’s values come to life in a very concrete way.

“It reminded us why we do what we do,” Marcin says. “This was not just another delivery. It was meaningful.”

At the same time, the partnership demonstrated how companies can play an active role in supporting community-driven initiatives. By combining structured delivery with volunteer energy, Sofigate helped show how private organisations can contribute to non-profit digitalisation in a sustainable and respectful way.

Reflecting on the journey and looking ahead

The collaboration was wrapped up during a Salesforce Community Meeting in Wrocław in December, offering a moment to reflect on the journey together with the local ecosystem. It was less about closure and more about recognising what had been achieved through shared effort.

Elżbieta Kuwałek, Project Coordinator at Sofigate, captured the spirit of the moment.

“Being at the community meeting in Wrocław reminded me how powerful this ecosystem really is. We laughed, we learned, and we celebrated a project that brought so many people together. It was the perfect moment to reflect on our Charity&Force journey.”

As the Ronald McDonald Foundation prepares to adopt the solution in early 2026, the impact of this work will begin to show in everyday operations, quietly and consistently.

For us, the project leaves a lasting mark. It strengthened culture, increased engagement, and reinforced the importance of leading with values. Most of all, it showed that when companies and communities unite around a shared purpose, the outcome can be far greater than the sum of its parts.
