Sofigate Sweden named Karriärföretag for the fifth year running
The recognition underscores Sofigate’s long-term dedication to supporting people and their growth.
Sofigate Sweden has once again been recognised as a Karriärföretag, an honour awarded to employers in Sweden who offer exceptional career opportunities.
“Being selected as a Karriärföretag for five consecutive years means a great deal to us. It is more than an award; it reflects how we view our people and their development. We want every talent at Sofigate to grow with us, be challenged, learn new things and help shape the future of business and technology,” says Lotta Ekman, Head of People Experience at Sofigate Sweden.
At Sofigate, every interaction, internally and with customers, is designed to feel professional, personal and meaningful. From the first conversation with a recruiter to the moment a consultant takes on their first client assignment, the aim is to create an experience that is supportive and energising.
“Our goal is simple: to give people the conditions they need to succeed and grow, both as individuals and as part of our shared mission,” Ekman describes.
A culture that puts people first
Sofigate’s culture is built on openness, curiosity and collaboration. People are trusted early on and encouraged to take initiative, regardless of seniority. As Elin Hörman, who leads the Young Professionals network, says, “your opinion is heard and you have the chance to make a difference from the moment you arrive”.
Knowledge sharing plays a central role in daily work. Colleagues know whom to turn to for help and readily make time for one another. A lively social culture, from events and gatherings to informal meetups, helps make the workplace warm.
Sofigate also builds culture with intention. International innovation sprints, for instance, bring together teams from across regions to develop new solutions in areas such as AI, automation and sustainable technology. These initiatives strengthen the culture, foster cross-border collaboration and help create value for customers.
The company values Dare, Care and Grow guide work in tangible ways. New talents are encouraged to step forward and contribute, supported by mentors, buddies, colleagues and their peer group.
Learning and development at the heart of early careers
Sofigate’s Trainee Programme, led by Klara Jakobsson, is one of the company’s cornerstones for attracting and developing future talent. Each year, the programme receives more than 300 applications from top graduates with strong academic backgrounds and hands-on experience from internships. It offers structured learning, client-facing assignments and opportunities to contribute through internal projects. This combination helps trainees build both technical and consulting skills in a way that is practical and relevant.
“Newcomers learn very fast and are well supported. It is not unusual for trainees to move into project leadership roles within a couple of years, which reflects both the opportunities we offer and the confidence we place in our people,” Jakobsson says.
The Young Professionals community continues this journey as a natural next step for early-career talents. It brings colleagues together for knowledge sharing sessions, workshops and social activities and is driven by the participants themselves. “It comes full circle when former members return to host sessions. For new joiners, the community offers a welcoming space to meet colleagues across the organisation and build confidence,” Hörman explains.
How to meet the expectations of a new generation?
Sofigate continues to attract new generations of talent who bring fresh expectations to working life. Flexibility and a healthy work–life balance are increasingly important, and the company’s approach aligns well with these values. Colleagues can work from one of our offices, from client premises or from home, depending on what best supports their work.
Balance is encouraged in practice, not only in words. Hörman recalls that during her trainee year someone once tapped her on the shoulder late in the evening and said, “it is time to go home”. The message was clear: deliver great work but look after yourself while doing so.
For digital natives, Sofigate’s commitment to digitalisation and AI is also appealing. These are not abstract concepts but part of everyday work, woven into projects and learning. As AI becomes increasingly integrated into ways of working, it serves as a catalyst for learning and growth. It helps employees grasp new topics quickly and frees up time for client work.
A shared achievement
Five consecutive Karriärföretag awards reflect Sofigate’s long-term commitment to building a workplace where people can develop, find purpose and succeed together. It is a shared effort across the organisation and a clear sign that the people-first culture is real.
As Hörman notes, people have something to contribute from the moment they join. This belief, combined with trust and meaningful opportunities, creates a foundation where talent can flourish.
“It is this combination that makes Sofigate a place where careers grow quickly, supported by a toolbox of skills and experiences that stay with them throughout their journey.”
