Sofigate recruits a team to radically harness AI – Aleksi Halttunen appointed to lead the Disruptive AI business unit
Sofigate, the leading business technology company in the Nordics, is strengthening the industrial-scale adoption of AI by bringing together a specialised team around its Disruptive AI business unit. This business unit, established at the end of last year, strengthens Sofigate’s position as a strategic partner to business leadership in the era of AI-driven transformation. Aleksi Halttunen has been appointed to lead the entity.
The new business builds on Sofigate’s previously announced AI agent strategy, a €3 million investment in product development, and strategic investments in the ServiceNow and Salesforce platforms. Sofigate’s own AI transformation and large-scale deployment of AI agents have already delivered significant results in demanding expert work. Now, the same industrialised operating model is being brought to clients as a service.
The Disruptive AI business unit was established to accelerate the go-to-market of Sofigate’s Enterprise AI services and to deepen Sofigate’s role as a strategic partner to executive leadership. Its mission is to help organisations reinvent themselves through AI: to rebuild their business, drive impactful transformations, and simultaneously renew operating models and capabilities.
AI Agent Factory: an industrial-scale factory for digital workers
At the core of Sofigate’s AI services is the AI Agent Factory; a factory for digital workers that enables the rapid design, build and deployment of AI agents without heavy coding. The factory is designed to transform knowledge work, customer service and administrative functions across industries through AI.
With productised agent engines and ready-to-deploy AI platforms, Sofigate can manufacture digital workers within a matter of weeks, based on a jointly defined role description created with the customer.
In addition to the AI Agent Factory, Sofigate’s Enterprise AI services offer clients:
- A ready-made agent library for business technology design and management
- An operating model for developing, publishing and deploying AI agents
- Training and change management support for large-scale adoption of AI agents across organisations
- Implementation solutions for ServiceNow and Salesforce platforms, as well as for leading AI language models
This approach enables fast value creation without lengthy and costly customisation projects. The objective is not to make an isolated pilot project, but the capability to produce and lead digital workers at industrial scale.
More digital workers than people in knowledge work
We believe that within the next few years, many organisations across industries will employ more digital workers than human employees in knowledge work. This shift will particularly impact knowledge work, customer service and support functions, where AI agents will assist people across a broad range of tasks from demanding design work to the automated execution of routine processes.
The core mission of the Disruptive AI business is to design and implement this transformation for clients on a significant scale and on faster timeline than their competitors, and by delivering significant and measurable competitive advantage.
“AI agents represent an exceptionally disruptive opportunity for all knowledge-intensive industries. Corporate competitiveness will increasingly be determined by how quickly organisations can reinvent their processes, business models and the collaboration between humans and AI. We are talking about renewal at industrial scale. The Disruptive AI business unit helps executive leadership succeed in this transformation,” says Niina Uusi-Autti, Chief Capability Officer and Deputy CEO at Sofigate.
A strong team to accelerate client transformation
Aleksi Halttunen has been appointed Vice President of the Disruptive AI business. He will assume his role in early March. Halttunen joins Sofigate from Futurice, where he was responsible for strategic advisory services and leading AI transformation initiatives for major Nordic enterprises.
“AI transformation will be vast, and AI has the potential to fundamentally improve both business and society. Sofigate is exceptionally well positioned to support enterprises and the public sector in this shift with industrial-scale AI services. We are also able to offer the most interesting customer assignments in the market to top talent,” says Aleksi Halttunen, Vice President, Disruptive AI at Sofigate.
“Moving AI from experimentation to industrial scale requires executive teams to reflect on what their business will look like in the future and how it will be led in an agentic world. Leadership in the AI era is facing a profound transformation, and this is already on every executive agenda. This is where Sofigate can genuinely make a difference,” Halttunen concludes.
In addition to Halttunen, Anna Metsäranta joins Sofigate’s Disruptive AI business unit as Senior AI Advisor, Maria Uusitalo as AI Experience Designer, and Miika Sipilä as Data & AI Lead. The new team members join Sofigate from key roles at Solita, Reaktor and Elisa. The Disruptive AI business unit also includes a dedicated capability development team responsible, among other things, for the AI training services provided to customers and competence development.
Continuing determined investments
The new business unit continues Sofigate’s €3 million investment in AI product development and its significant investments in the ServiceNow and Salesforce platforms.
Sofigate further strengthens its position as the leading business technology company in the Nordics. Its strengths include the largest transformation excellence team in the Nordics, a leading position in ServiceNow and Salesforce solutions, and industrial-scale application of AI to renew knowledge work, customer service and support functions.
