KONE Commits to Developing IT Services

KONE and Sofigate embark on a global cooperation to speed up the planning and management of IT services. Sofigate is a company specializing in developing, procuring and managing IT services.
“Digitalization challenges major companies to learn from smaller, more agile companies. IT has to work in a systematic way but at the same time we need to meet rapidly changing business demands. Together with Sofigate we have found a solution to combine the systematic and the agile ways of working”, says KONE CIO Antti Koskelin.
The partnership covers the following areas of development:
– IT Academy, an IT management coaching program for the key roles at KONE
– Deployment of an ITSM tool to manage IT services and development programs
– Developing and utilizing agile ways of working as a part of the IT Standard

KONE and Sofigate’s development program will run until the end of 2016. The program will affect the management and development of all IT solutions and services at KONE. End-users will see the results of the program as an improved service experience: usability will improve and self-service will become more frequent.
