Third acquisition this year: Sofigate to acquire Prestantia’s business in Finland

Sofigate has acquired the Finnish IT service management company Prestantia. Prestantia’s nine employees will join Sofigate by business transfer to strengthen IT service management service area, especially in BMC Software’s solutions.
Two weeks ago, Sofigate announced that its target is to become the largest company in its field in Sweden by acquiring the leading IT service management consultancy company Daymark AB, specialised in ServiceNow technology solutions. Now Sofigate is strengthening the same service area in Finland by acquiring the business of the Finnish Prestantia. The company has strong expertise in BMC Software’s solutions.

The acquisition of Prestantia marks Sofigate’s third move in corporate acquisitions in 2016, after Daymark AB and 3gamma’s business in Finland. According to Sami Karkkila, corporate acquisitions are necessary steps as Sofigate is growing to become an international company of 750 employees and to create a turnover of 100 million euros by 2020.

More recruiting in the Nordics
In addition to corporate acquisitions, Sofigate is emphasizing high quality recruitments. The recruitment target for 2016 was 60 employees, whereas in 2017 Sofigate is prepared to offer at least 100 new jobs in Finland and in Sweden.
