Training dates

The training programme consists of six online training days and two to three pre-study days depending on the personal learning style. The eLearning tool used for pre-study assignments is a browser-based, time and location independent online training portal called the Howspace

Training programme cost

The cost of the full training programme (6 days) is 4200 € (+ VAT).

The training modules can also be sold separately. The costs per module are the following:

  • Modules 1-3 (2 days) 1600 € + VAT / module

When enrolling please specify if you wish to attend the whole programme (6 days) or specific modules only.

Changes and cancelations

A full refund will be provided for cancellations received up to 7 days prior to the course date. Alternatively, the participation can be rescheduled at a mutually acceptable date or substituted by another participant from the same company or organisation.

Refunds will not be given for a “no show” on the day.

Certificates

After successfully passing the certification exams the participant will receive two certificates:

Introduction

The purpose of the introductory module is to

  • open the discussion on business technology management challenges,
  • give information on the structure and schedules of the training program
  • introduce the participants to the training methods to be used during the program
  • provide instructions for the pre-assignments
  • create a starting point for networking with others

Module 1: Creating business value with technology – Business Technology operating model and ecosystem management

Time: 12.–13.04.2023

Day 1: Business Technology Operating Model

A clear and well-functioning operating model for implementing business strategy ensures allocation of technology investments the most effective ways. It enables efficient operation of the services while shifting the focus towards faster development of new digital services.

In addition, being able to cater the different business needs through a value stream-based operating model enhances the company’s ability to allocate the resources the right way and add more value to business with technology.

This training day gives an overview on various best practices and tools related to business technology operating model and how it has been taken into use in various organisations. The day consists of various keynote presentations spiced up with teamwork exercises related to real-life challenges introduced by CxO-level visitors.

During this training session, the participants will learn how to:

  • build technology roadmaps to realise the company’s strategic goals
  • serve the different business needs with value stream-based operating model
  • ensure a successful transformation with supporting tools and practices
  • create a fully operational organisation when adopting the Business Technology Standard’s roles and responsibilities

Day 2: Ecosystem development

Every company needs partners and service providers in order to become more creative and, at the same time, ensure optimised sourcing of services.

Ensuring the commercial models early-on, using incremental sourcing approach and constant optimisation of the sourced services are essentials to stay competitive in the marketplace.

This training session gives insights on how to source the services the optimal way and how to have long-term perspective when developing the service lifecycle. It also focuses in importance of having a strategic view in ecosystem development and how to ensure proper management of resources.

During this training session the participants will learn how to:

  • build a sourcing strategy that creates competitive advantage
  • protect the company’s intellectual property rights
  • make agreements in digitized world
  • build an effective vendor ecosystem
  • calculate and communicate the value of technology

Module 2: Initiatives into actions – Demand & Development Management

Time: 10.–11.05.2023

Day 1: Demand management

Demand management ensures that business intention is captured and turned into concrete actions the most efficient way. Analysing the business needs and turning the ideas into more concrete concepts and prototypes helps the evaluation of the business potential of an idea.

This training session gives an understanding of how to organise the demand management and how to capture and prioritise the requirements coming from different sources. It also provides the participants with an efficient way to test the feasibility and business potential of an idea by via a concept development process.

During this training session, the participants will learn how to:

  • capture the ideas and turn them into concepts to be approved for development
  • boost innovation culture and create unified ways of working with ideas
  • create adequate yet flexible steering and prioritisation mechanisms
  • use design thinking methodology for testing the feasibility of an idea
  • co-create with partners effectively during the concept development phase
  • ensure good customer experience by using service design principles right from the beginning

Day 2: Development management

All businesses today require faster development of digital services and solutions. At the same time, high quality, security and scalability must be considered early on without compromising the speed of development.

This training session gives understanding on the different development methodologies and what should be considered when choosing the appropriate methodology for the approved business initiatives. In addition, the participants will discuss on how to create a governance model that will allow the needed control of the development projects without compromising the speed of the development.

During this training session the participants will learn how to:

  • select the best development methodology
  • orchestrate and prioritize the development requests
  • ensure business benefit realisation
  • develop agile mentality and way of working
  • allocate the resources to different projects
  • realise a fit-for-purpose governance model (Minimum Viable Governance)

Module 3: Next level service excellence, management and automation

Time: 7.6.-8.6.2023

Day 1: Service Excellence

Well-functioning, secure and supported services are a must when a company want to create an excellent customer experience and ensure that the customers want to keep on using services. The services are produced by teams consisting of company resources and external partners and for the operational excellence there needs to be clear processes and integration management in place.

The services need to be constantly monitored and developed with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. In addition, the users of the services need to have an easy-to-use and accessible way to find and order the services.

This training session gives insights on how to develop the needed capabilities (people, processes and tools) for efficient service management and integration in your organisation. It gives also guidance on how to build service roadmaps and manage the whole service lifecycle.

During this training session, the participants will learn how to:

  • build secure, scalable and maintained services
  • plan the services by using service lifecycle thinking
  • make and maintain a service catalogue
  • become an excellent service manager
  • build, organise and run service integration

Day 2: Next-Level Service Management with Robotics and Automation

Modern service management requires tools and automated processes to ensure cost efficient and robust way to develop and operate services. Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence, IT and Enterprise Service Management tools together with process and system integration tools ensure that there is a solid digital platform on which to integrate and develop new services faster and ensure even better employee and customer experience.

This training session introduces the elements for building an enterprise-level service management including the automation of business processes and services.

During this training session the participants will learn how to:

  • develop a roadmap for service automation
  • use AI and robotics in service management
  • use different tools to create automated service request processes
