Sofigate is growing fiercely – turnover rose by over a third
Press release 14/3/17
IT management and digitalisation leadership expert Sofigate grew by 34 percent in 2016, which meant reaching a turnover of 37 million euros. Profitability (EBITDA) was 2,4 million euros and grew by 136 percent. In 2017 the company expects their growth to accelerate with turnover rising to 60 million euros.
2016 marked the beginning of international business acquisitions for Sofigate: in October, Sofigate took foothold in the Swedish IT service management market by acquiring the leading solutions provider Daymark. In February 2017, the internationalisation continued with the acquisition of 3gamma. Sofigate now employs 400 people in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and the United Kingdom.
Sofigate’s objective is to grow into an international service company with a 100 million-euro turnover and 750 employees by 2020. The company has gathered the best practices and tools for leading digitalisation together with their customers and created a solid export product.
Following the latest business acquisition, Sofigate is now the biggest IT management service provider in the Nordics.
Sofigate CEO Sami Karkkila said: “Sofigate’s expansion rate indicates that there’s a strong market for leadership services. In 2017, our growth will accelerate and turnover rise to 60 million euros. To reach our long-term targets, we need to act outside the Nordic countries. With 3gamma business acquisition, we opened the game in London – and there’s more to follow.”
Sofigate is owned by the founder Juha Huovinen and the operating management.
